Small Faces/ Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan passes away

A day after Bobby Keys passing Ian McLagan one of the founding members of the Small Faces and Faces (also a former touring member of The Rolling Stones) died from complications of a stroke at the age of 69.

The Small Faces are an incredibly important band in the history of Rock & Roll.  Though they may be known best for their catchy single Itchycoo Park their influence on other musicians runs much deeper. Besides helping to spawn the careers of Rod Stewart and Ron Wood they are revered by many of their fellow musicians.  Reflecting this status they were duly inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.  Rod Stewart typically didn't appear with the group but Simply Red's Mick Hucknall appeared more than ably in his place.
